Corning Museum of Glass – Wednesday – August 7, 2013

Visiting museums is not something Bill and I usually do.  However, on several occasions, when we told someone we were coming to this area they said, “You have to see the Corning Museum of Glass!”  So today, we did just that:o))

It was about an hour drive south of Sampson State Park. 00 - Travel Map from Sampson SP to Corning, NY

It is a large museum which could take a couple days to see in detail.  Bill and I spent the better part of the day exploring the displays and watching the different demonstrations.  Below is just a small sample of the beautiful glass creations we saw!!

  1. Like you, I'm not much of a museum goer anymore. Can I assume you agree it's a must see? Sure looks amazing. And so does the drive. Fabulous pictures.
