Somehow, this post replaced the first post of the Reunion Rally???  Not sure where it went and it looks like this post just replaced it.  The comments already on this post were comments on the first post.

We never did get to hike the Plunge Basin Hike.

As we were returning from Ervin’s Overlook, one of our group found a cell phone, water bottle and women’s hiking shirt on  the edge of the gorge!! They immediately went to the ranger station to report what they found. They were asked to stay until the authorities arrived. Any further hiking just wasn’t in the cards. Eventually, the owner was located and we were pleased to learn everyone was OK!!

As our truckload got ready to head back to the campground, Dan mentioned that Linn Cove Viaduct was just up the road.  He had scouted it out on his scooter a couple days ago.  Since we hadn’t eaten our packed lunches yet, we decided that might be a good place for lunch and headed north on the BRP instead of south toward the Rally Park.

Yep, good spot for lunch!!

Sunday, May 31st

This morning,
we had one more delicious catered breakfast!!

After breakfast,
it was time to hear the traditional departure song,

My Wish by Rascal Flatts

“May your dreams stay big and your worries stay small.”

Fortunately for RV-Dreamers,

it is never goodbye, just…

See you down the road!!!

  4. Boy the NC waterfalls are so much bigger than what we've seen here in Shenadoah and the viewing platforms closer too. Great pictures. Thanks so much for this round up of the reunion we sadly could not make. Looks like a lot of fun was had and we were so sorry to miss it and seeing everyone again. Love the picture of your hiking group at the Pinnacle.
