Thanks for visiting, it was a great weekend!!

As Bruce and Laura headed home,

we had other friends arrive at Modoc.

Paul & Marti and Mike & Terri arrived on Monday and Tuesday.

Both of these couples were volunteers at Modoc last year.  Paul & Marti have returned to volunteer here again until January.  Mike & Terri stopped on their way to a volunteer position in Florida.

They are all here this week to help with the National Public Lands Day Program.

It’s because of great volunteers like them, that we get to enjoy some beautiful places!!!

We managed to enjoy a couple visits, a beautiful sunset and a nice campfire:o))

  3. What a great week you had. Glad to see Mike and Terri, it's been a long time. HINT Mike!! And Paul and Marti of course! I guess one of these days I'm going to have to break down and visit that park named after a I guy I SERIOUSLY disliked. :-) Thanks for the pictures of all your fun. Where are you off to now? Wonder if we'll ever find out where Mike and Terri will be? HA!

  10. That is a seriously beautiful site! :) We just said good-bye to Bruce and Laura ourselves after a great weekend at Lake Powhatan. This is definitely your kind of park Nancy...and hiking trails galore!
One of the great things about this lifestyle is the friends you meet along the way. Sure is fun to keep running into them :)
