01 - Spring is here

Finally…
I think Spring has arrived :o))

We have been busy taking care of business
and
the weather has not suggested that we do anything else.

However…

today was different…

time to enjoy  SPRING!!

Warning…
This post is Photo Intensive!!!

Just across the street from Huntington Beach State Park is Brookgreen Gardens.

I could not imagine anywhere better to celebrate the arrival of spring.

I spent several hours this morning walking and photographing the beauty.

Brookgreen Gardens is known for its beautiful gardens. However, Brookgreen is also the first public sculpture garden in America and has more than 1,400 works in its collection.  I picked these fun and whimsical sculptures from the children’s garden to share.

  3. Wow, I never knew the gardens were right across the street from HBSP. I'll have to go there the next time we're at HBSP, that is if we can afford the price of staying there... ;c)

  4. What a joyous day! Simply stunning photographs and I love the way you have organized them. I still haven't figured out how to do that in all these years. Picassa I would guess.. This is just the perfect place to welcome spring. Love the statues especially the turtle girl :-) and the first woman with her arms up in joy! What a spectacular place. Lucky you to be there. Your spring has definitely sprung!!

    1. Dianne, We were in Victoria in our Van in the summer of 2001 and we did visit Butchart Gardens. Unfortunately it was pouring rain... but it still was very beautiful!!! Guess we will just have to make another trip:o)))

  6. What a gorgeous garden to wander in! Spring looks quite different down south than it does in the upper Midwest, here I was happy that the daffodils finally bloomed yesterday. No leaves on trees yet, but everything seems to be happening a little sooner than last year at least. Enjoy!
